Hi guys, this is just a quick post about software that might be of interest. Some of you might know that I seriously liked Opera (the browser), but over the last year Opera has been a nightmare and gone from the best to just a Chrome featureless piece of junk. So this brings me to the reason for this post. I have been searching for a replacement that would do what Opera used to. Lot's of people like Firefox, but it is not my cup of tea so I ended up finding a fantastic browser called Maxthon. It is feature rich and has some speed under the bonnet.
So if you are looking for a new experience in browsing then you will not go far wrong with Maxthon. IF any of you have other software that maybe of interest to the community then please post it here.
I've had Maxthon on my phone for a couple of weeks, because Firefox kept crashing regularly. Quite like Maxthon so far, but I haven't really messed about with it too much.
Stumbled across Roccat Power Grid earlier. It's a very versatile platform that turns your phone>phablet>tablet into an additional input device for your PC. You can control your volumes without alt+tabbing from a game or even have shortcuts to all sorts of menus and directories with a few touches. Saves the hassle of trawling through tons of menus to get to the right Configuration screen. Not to mention all the custom tabs and functions you can make yourself. Saw various virtual button box type screens.
If you have Maxthon on several devices, or someone linked to your Maxthon via email/Maxthon memeber, you can send pages to them, share files and do some very funky things. Great for sharing across devices and works seamlessly.
edit: Tom, have you found the Assetto Corsa button box for Roccat Power Grid yet? It is fantastic.
It's alright, definitely beats the ctrl+A and ctrl+T for ABS and TC. Just don't have an easy to reach place to keep my phone while driving. Anyway, looking forward to getting my Derek Speare Designs button box. Should have it in about a week
billwiskins: No, was a close call and I had no idea what happened but you pulled over to the inside just in time soa ll good
